The area around Falmouth is a fascinating part of Cornwall. The Cathedral city of Truro lies to the north, whilst town such as St Mawes lie on the other side of the river Fal.
The town is built on a headland, with Pendennis Castle on the end. This is Cornwalls largest fort with superb views from the ramparts.
The beaches around the headland are great with sand and rock pools,
Goonhilly Earth Station - Lizard Goonhilly is one of four BT satellite earth stations. Situated on the top of Goonhilly downs.
